Okokmilaga River Rafting

Call to arrange a trip

This is a river trip for true adventurers, and those wanting to experience a truly remote and untouched area. We've only done this trip once before, on an exploratory trip, and know of no else who has run it. It's a fantastic trip, beginning in an enchantingly beautiful mountain valley, with many unique land features. Then the landscape opens up as the river flows through the foothills and out onto the north slope, where the Okokmilaga joins the Killik River and then the Colville, where we'll be picked up. The rafting is surprisingly fun in this fairly small river, with lots of drop in the upper part. Because of the number of rocky sections in the upper part, and the changing and unpredictable weather patterns we've had for several years, we'll have a backup plan of running the upper Killik instead if the water level seems too low.

We'll begin and end this trip in Coldfoot, with incredible flights across an unimaginably vast expanse of wild land.
